Tyson Fury beats Wladimir Klitschko to become world heavyweight champion

Tyson Fury defeated Wladimir Klitschko by unanimous decision Saturday, but that wasn’t his only noteworthy performance of the night.

Ukrainian Klitschko, 39, suffered his first defeat in 11 years.

“I earned my right to be here”.

The match was parked unto life in Round 9, when Klitschko became more desperate after his corner told him that he needed a knockout and as Fury got visibly exhausted but Klitschko could still not land the telling punch.

He then burst into a rendition of Aerosmith’s hit ballad I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, dedicating it to wife Paris and his fans in Ireland, the UK, the United States and Germany.

After losing a point, Fury admitted that he would not be able to come back and win the fight.
