Tyson Fury is prepared to fight his cousin rather than David Haye
Attention now turns to establishing the identity of Fury’s opponent for his first defence, with Klitschko holding a rematch clause and WBC title holder Deontay Wilder openly targeting a unification bout.

Tyson Fury has revealed the details of a freakish encounter with Vitali Klitschko in the build-up to his world title win over his brother Wladimir.
Fury polarizes opinion out of the ring, but there’s general agreement – especially after Saturday’s fight – that the guy can box. The 6ft 9in tall, 18 stone giant of a man – who calls himself the “Gypsy King” on Twitter – outboxed living legend Wladimir Klitschko of Ukraine in front of 50,000 fight fans in Dusseldorf on Saturday night.
Tyson Fury, the new world boxing heavyweight champion, said he went thirsty after beating Wladimir Klitschko because he feared his water might be spiked with a banned substance, which could affect his post-match urine test result.
After arriving in Bolton, England, Fury accused Klitschko’s camp of skullduggery, saying they are “cheats”.
– Sang a rather very bad, off-key version of I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith to the crowd following the fight. It’s a great honour to be sat here with all these belts as the heavyweight champion of the world. “I’m not really interested in boxing at the moment”, Fury said.
“I went home dehydrated before I even touched anything because I was so frightened of being tested and failing the test because they’ve given me something”. He added that too much foam lay under the canvas, nearly forcing the fight to be canceled.
Fury is expected to grant Klitschko a rematch. “I just could not find the right distance”, Klitschko said. “I was well prepared for this fight but he was quick for his height”.
“In the mighty name of Jesus, I thank you”, said the new heavyweight boxing champion of the world.
He made it clear he wouldn’t be giving fellow Brit David Haye any opportunity after Haye twice cancelled fights with Fury in 2013 and 2014. I’m still Tyson Fury and I’m still going to go and get in an old Land Rover.
