Tyson Fury’s heavyweight showdown with Wladimir Klitschko OFF after Ukrainian
The postponement is the latest in a long line for Fury who twice saw domestic fights against David Haye cancelled when his opponent suffered successive injuries. To be fair, Fury was just having some fun, but the whole thing was a little freaky – and freakish is often what you get from a guy who dubs himself the ‘Gypsy King’. All I can say is that it’s very disappointing for the fans and all the money that has been spent on flights and everything else.

“He’s had all those fights, beat all those Americans and Europeans, but he hasn’t beat me”.
The 27-year-old Fury pointed to the man on his back, laying on one of the belts, and shouted at Klitschko: “You, next!”
“I do think I’ve rattled him, properly”.
Earlier this week Fury was labelled as a “clown” by Klitschko after turning up to a news conference dressed as Batman and grappling with an audience member dressed as the cape crusader’s nemesis The Joker.
There was a promise from Fury of “more fun and games to come in fight week” and that’s what was confirmed as they went their separate ways for the time being. I’m not too bothered because they’re talking about rescheduling, but it’s the fans I feel sorry for. The fight is expected to be re-scheduled, though it was not immediately clear when it might eventually take place.
Klitschko told Bild he was “incredibly sorry”, adding in a video message that he was “working hard on rescheduling”.
“We will definitely remain in Diusseldorf. But if that doesn’t sell tickets, I don’t know what will”.

For all the negativity and criticism surrounding Klitschko, the 39-year-old remains a consummate professional and does his job and accepts his limitations both in and out of the ring.
