U.S. advises India and Pakistan to continue dialogue on Kashmir
Report claims that the Jammu and Kashmir government has prepared a list of the beneficiary families and they are anticipated to receive approximately Rs 5.5 lakh each. Pakistan’s membership in the NSG would not only go a long way in strengthening the worldwide non-proliferation regime but also help Pakistan enhance its capabilities in harnessing peaceful uses of nuclear technology for the country’s burgeoning population of nearly 200 million people, including in the fields of health, agriculture and power generation.

“The adviser deplored the lethal use of force by the Indian occupation forces against innocent Kashmiri people”, said the Foreign Office spokesperson.
A senior Intelligence Bureau official said the government failed to send any positive signals to assuage the anger and there was complete absence of political will to resolve the issue facing Kashmir. Only worldwide pressure can convince India to come on the dialogue table for the resolution of the issue.
Mushahid Hussain Syed and Shazra Mansab Ali Khan would highlight the Kashmir cause in the United States and the UN; Ayesha Raza Farooq and Rana Muhammad Afzal in France; Awais Leghari in the UN Geneva office and Abdul Rehman Kanju in South Africa.
Meanwhile, ruling out a dialogue with Pakistan, Union minister Jitendra Singh today said in Jammu that the “government can’t talk to perpetrators of terrorism”. He said Pakistan is advocate of Kashmiris and a strong and stable democratic Pakistan was indispensable for early liberation of Occupied Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir has been under curfew and restrictions since protests broke out over the killing of Hizbul Mujahdeen commander Burhan Wani on July 8 in an encounter with security forces.
Clashes erupted in over a dozen places, including parts of the main city of Srinagar, between rock-throwing protesters and troops, who fired live ammunition, shotguns and tear gas.
“Even the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the turmoil in Kashmir was deafening”, the IB official said.
He also said that those who have lost their lives in the current turmoil in Kashmir valley belong to the poorest of the poor sections.
