The conversation focused on the shooters’ reported indoctrination to radical Islam and the prospect of increased discrimination against American Muslims in the aftermath of what federal authorities are considering a possible terrorist attack on US soil.

Investigators think that as the San Bernardino, California, attack was happening, female shooter Tashfeen Malik posted a pledge of allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on Facebook, three USA officials familiar with the investigation told CNN.
According to the reports, Malik posted on Facebook under a false name.
The U.S. official briefed on the investigation said whatever communication Farook had with suspected extremists was with “people who weren’t significant players on our radar” and dated back some time.
Farook had not been under surveillance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation or any other law enforcement agency, Bowdich said.
Malik, 27, was shot dead by police along with her husband Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, after a killing spree at an office party in California on Wednesday.
He grew up in a turbulent home but later graduated from California State University, San Bernardino, with a degree in environmental health sciences in 2010.
A massive effort is now underway to learn more about both Farook, who was born in the US and was an employee at the center, and Malik, who came to the U.S.in July of 2014 as Farook’s fiancee, with a Pakistani passport.
Refugees must apply to become a legal permanent resident after a year. The couple had a 6-month-old daughter; they left the baby with relatives Wednesday morning before the shooting. “I don’t know what message they left”.
Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Center for Islamic-American Relations, said while he is pleased that the majority of Americans view his religion positively, he is concerned by the continued minority that holds anti-Islamic views.
It was on Farook’s second return trip from Saudi Arabia that Malik entered the United States, said Kuko, who officiated the couple’s USA marital ceremony at his mosque in 2014. Rahemaan Ali said Farook seemed happy and his usual self.
She was also very quiet. She was a stay-at-home mom.
Farook’s sister and brother-in-law appeared Friday on NBC’s Today to express their sorrow over the massacre.
The remarkable disclosure about Malik’s online activities provided the first significant details suggesting a motive for her participation with her husband, Syed Farook, in the shootings that killed 14 people and injured 21.
Abdul-Jalil said he met Malik once, but did not speak with her beyond exchanging pleasantries.
Shehata said he saw Malik sitting in Farook’s vehicle once about nine months ago wearing a niqab, a veil that covers a woman’s face except her eyes. But it wasn’t something that they would be getting together every single day or every single week. CNN’s Anderson Cooper looked visibly uncomfortable, and Wolf Blitzer later said, “I’ve certainly never seen anything like this”.
He said what happens after that, he said, has “nothing to do with us”.
She deleted the posts after the attack, the AP reported.
Afarin Rahmani, 44, said she felt “guilty” that someone from her community was responsible for the shootings.
“She’s probably about 90 pounds, so it’s unlikely she could even carry a weapon or wear some type of a vest or do any of this”, Chesley said.
To receive her visa, Malik was subjected to a vetting process the US government describes as vigorous. The couple answered Miller’s ad on Craigslist. The couple had good credit.

Doyle Miller, Farook’s landlord, said he had “no cause for concern” when he rented out a townhouse to him in Redlands.
