U.S. vice president Biden says he will not run for presidency

Clinton had listed Republicans among her enemies during last week’s presidential debate and had broken with Obama by moving to the left on such issues as the Keystone XL pipeline and the Trans-Pacific Partnership. “They’re the opposition, they’re not the enemy”.

Although Sures said he was disappointed that Biden decided not to run, he understood his decision.

Clinton praised the vice president, tweeting that he is “a good friend and a great man. Today and always, inspired by his optimism and commitment to change the world for the better”. Clinton won New Hampshire’s primary in 2008, but as a Vermont senator, Sanders is helped by his proximity to the independent-minded state that has supported neighbors before – John Kerry in 2004, Paul Tsongas in 1992, Michael Dukakis in 1988. However, the unexpected surge of Bernie Sanders and the steady support and formidable campaign operation of Hillary Clinton raised significant obstacles.

Clinton said her book tour and being a new mother keeps her too busy to campaign for her mother Hillary Rodham Clinton right now.

Rumors and reports about a potential run by Biden intensified this week with hashtags #BidenWatch and #Biden2016 going viral on popular social media platforms. Biden said his family was prepared to back him, but that he nonetheless would not be a candidate.

Biden was seen as a safe, centrist alternative to Clinton in case her email scandal blew up and derailed her nomination, which is still possible, as a federal judge has ordered that her emails from her time as Secretary of State be released monthly. He wants more clarity on Clinton’s policies, and wants Sanders to prove that he can run a credible campaign in the general election. He said he believes that Obama had led the nation from crisis to recovery.

Even though Biden won’t be running for the presidency, Quirmbach said he still hopes to hear his voice during the campaign process.

“The grieving process doesn’t care about or respect filing deadlines and debates and caucuses”. “I could just cry, seriously, because I also know how qualified and capable he is to serve”.

In Biden’s long Senate career, he served as chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.

Biden’s decision puts to rest the uncertainty hanging over the Democratic primary.
