In the months following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012, the NRA raised 350 percent more than it had in the same period the previous year.
President Trump travels to Las Vegas today following the deadly mass shooting at a country music concert.
On Monday, in an address to the nation, Trump called for unity.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said Monday he was planning to introduce legislation to strengthen background checks on gun purchases, following the massacre at a Las Vegas music festival that has become the deadliest mass shooting in modern USA history.
Speaking from a hospital where victims were being treated, Mr Trump said investigators were still searching for Paddock’s motivation for the attack.
Feinstein said it was a reasonable step to take, and one that could potentially attract support from Republicans.
Lisa Hansen, protest organizer, said, “I don’t think that the Second Amendment was created to include weapons of mass destruction for everyday citizens”.
“Thoughts and prayers are not enough”.

Murphy rejected such arguments after the Newtown slaughter and did so again this week.
That being said, California Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein announced plans to introduce a law that would ban the sales of bump stocks. “Though you can’t regulate away evil in total, you can do more to protect people”. The second bill allows permitted gun owners who act within the law of their own state to travel and be protected from prosecution for violating more restrictive gun laws in other states.
Thirty-six hours after the worst mass shooting in modern American history President Donald Trump refused Tuesday to call the massacre domestic terrorism, APA reports quoting AA.

“That bill is not scheduled now, I don’t know when it’s going to be scheduled”, House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin said. “That’s a good idea”, said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of NY. These mass shootings are senseless, born from ignorance and hesitance to confront the real issues at play; America’s obsession with guns and violence, and its shameful reluctance to take mental health seriously.
