The band visited the makeshift shrine which has been set up near the Bataclan Theatre, the place where 87 people were killed last night in a spate of terror attacks.

The only official statement from the band’s representatives was posted Friday on both its Twitter and Facebook pages, suggesting that a few band and crew members may have been unaccounted for.

Alexander became the first confirmed British casualty of Friday night’s attack on Paris which left 129 dead, and 352 wounded. The band’s music label, Universal Music Enterprises, could not be reached by Reuters on Saturday, but the company told the NY Times that all band members were reported safe.

They have not said whether or not HBO will broadcast their Sunday show, or if the concert will even happen at all.

The assault on one of the leading concert halls in Paris sends shockwaves Saturday through the music world. According to the Atlanta based news service, Dorio is not a full-time member with the band, but joined them for the European tour.

It was unclear how many were inside but French police say at least 100 people were killed.

“I’m saying a million prayers that my husband comes home safe and I’m saying a million prayers for everyone who won’t”, Emily Dorio, the wife of drummer Julian Dorio, wrote on Instagram before reporting that her husband was safe. The video shows three people dangling from window ledges by their finger tips, their feet resting on metal security bars before they are dragged back in the building.

The Eagles of Death Metal was formed by musicians Jesse Hughes and John Homme and features a revolving lineup.

Foo Fighters – whose frontman Dave Grohl has collaborated with Eagles of Death Metal – separately announced that the band was cutting short its tour. “Above us there was automatic gunfire, explosions and horrific screams”, said Christine Tudhope, 35, from Edinburgh.

“We are still now trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew”. The current overall death toll now stands at more than 150 people.
