U2 cancelled its concert at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on Sunday following reports that a gunman had entered the arena disguised as an off-duty police officer, according to The Telegraph. “Safety is our top priority”, said Live Nation in a statement.

The band wrote that “audience safety is paramount” and that there was “no option but to postpone tonight’s show”.
It could have been a bloody Sunday, but thankfully, U2’s concert at Stockholm’s Globe Arena was evacuated before anything happened.
The band posted the following statement on its official website. “I forgot to leave it at work”, he was quoted as saying by the paper.
This footage shows fans hastily leaving the venue after the announcement that the concert would be rescheduled for Tuesday, September 22.
Stockholm Police spokesman Kjell Lindgren said fans were evacuated from the venue because security checks were not “done in the proper way”.
U2 are now midway through their enormous iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE world tour and are pencilled in to perform the rescheduled show at the Globe tomorrow night.
Jan Friberg, head of the police’s internal investigation unit, confirmed to Aftonbladet that a report had been filed by the police themselves over the incident.

Luckily for fans, the concert is now set to take place Tuesday night.
