“We are advising that you power down your Note 7 and exchange it now… because your safety is our top priority”, the company said on its website on Saturday. This happened after the recall and there could be many more people still using the Galaxy Note with the battery issue, so the company recently asked users to stop using the Galaxy Note 7.

“We are expediting replacement devices so that they can be provided through the exchange program as conveniently as possible and in compliance with related regulations”, the statement added.
The world’s largest smartphone maker is scrambling to recall as numerous devices as possible following more reports of the phones catching fire.
“We were also told that every recalled phone will be remotely deactivated after September 30th”. Late Friday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission urged owners of the phone to turn them off and leave them off.
Some analysts say the recall could cost Samsung almost US$5 billion in revenue, after accounting for expenses from the recall process.
