UAE shops and tour agents prep for Eid Al Adha holiday rush
Eid Al-Adha, or the Grand Feast, is one of the two most important religious holidays observed by Muslims worldwide. But there are some exceptions, as Islamic committees in some states have declared the official Eid Al-Adha date on 12TH September.

The law provides that the implementation shall be supervised by the Office on Muslim Affairs (now National Commission on Muslim Filipinos). But since the moon was not visible, the festival will be celebrated on Monday, September 12.
The declaration of September 12 as a national holiday is in line with the recommendation of the NCMF, Proclamation 56 said.
Traditionally, the festival lasts for four days but public holidays vary from country to country.
Work will resume on Sunday, 18 September, Shaikh Mohammad said following a Cabinet meeting.
Bangladesh will observe a six-day Eid holiday, from September 9 until September 14.

Private sector employees will also enjoy a paid holiday on the two days of Eid Al Adha, September 12 and 13, thus enjoying a total five-day break when combined with a two-day weekend.
