Three other Berkeley students were injured in the attack, while one other program participant still was unaccounted for as of Monday: 21-year-old Estonian Rickard Kruusberg.

For the second time in less than two weeks, hundreds gathered at UC Berkeley to console one another in the wake of the unthinkable: a student killed in a terror attack overseas.

A friend told Leslie’s family they saw him running away after the attack.
MacEwan University, in Alberta, Canada, also announced that one of its students is missing in Nice. Behind them stood the American, French and Italian flags – Leslie’s mother is Italian and he was born in Milan. Members of Leslie’s family could not be reached. Vladyslav Kostiuk, 23, a senior computer science major, suffered a broken leg. Two weeks ago, 18-year-old sophomore Tarishi Jain died when militants attacked a cafe in Dhaka, killing 20.
