Cal and Utah still could tie OR for the Pac-12 title, but the Ducks own the tiebreakers for the top seed.

“Let’s wait ’til Saturday and try not to share this”, OR coach Dana Altman said. Any slim hopes of an NCAA Tournament bid rest entirely on the team’s ability to win the Pac-12 Tournament.

“Now we need to go beat USC to be the only one at number one”, said Dorsey, a freshman from Los Angeles. “We’re excited about the weekend ahead and the challenges ahead, and proud of what this team accomplished during the season”. “We’re either going to play USC or Washington State for our first game and those are both really talented teams”. 500 overall and 6-11 in conference…

“It feels good to be back home and see my family”, Dorsey said. Gary Williams Jr. added 14, Brandon Clarke had 12, and Jalen James scored 11 and Isaac Thornton had 10 in a balanced attack.

Issac Hamilton his averaging over 16 points per game for the Bruins and the always dangeruos Bryce Alford is hitting close to 40 percent from beyond the arc.

Ariz/Ore vs. UCLA, 2 p.m. It didn’t matter because OR is simply a much better team that presents so many matchup issues for UCLA that it would have even been understandable preseason to predict that the Bruins would be swept.

The Bruins started the season in the non-conference going 8-3 and in each one of those losses (all to ranked teams mind you) UCLA lost by eight or less with two of those games going into overtime. Elgin Cook is averaging 14.2 points, Tyler Dorsey is averaging 12.8 points, and Chris Boucher is averaging 12.5 points and 7.7 rebounds.

Katin Reinhardt scored 15 points and Bennie Boatwright added 13 for the Trojans (20-10, 9-8), who snapped a three-game losing streak and moved into sixth place in the conference standings with one regular-season game remaining. He’s the only Pac-12 player in double figures in each of his team’s league games this season.

Bryn Forbes scored a career-high 33 points, hitting a conference-record 11 three-pointers, as Michigan State handed the Scarlet Knights their 17th straight loss.

The Bruins attacked the paint early and relentlessly, building up an 11-point lead with 3:55 left in the first half behind a stifling zone defense. He made 15 of 18 free throws.

With that, the Bruins, as mentioned above, have a #3 seed and a first round bye in the Pac-12 tourney as they head to KeyArena in Seattle to await the first round victor of #11 Arizona and #6 Oregon. The top four teams are all likely to be top-four seeds when the NCAA Tournament field is announced on March 14 and will end up hosting first- and second-round games.
