UCO student among those killed in collision at OSU homecoming parade

Nakal had earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mumbai University, and was attending UCO in the hopes of becoming a financial analyst.
Nikita Nakal had moved to the U.S. in July to study MBA at the UCO.
While students are grieving this loss, many are directing their prayers to her family that live in Mumbai, India.
Police and witnesses say the Hyundai sedan driven by 25-year-old Adacia Chambers crashed into an unoccupied police motorcycle before hitting the crowd.

Megan Lantz of Ponca City, Oklahoma, told the Oklahoman newspaper that about 100 people were standing on the corner at the time the vehicle, going between 72-80 kph, struck the crowd. Tulsa TV station KOKI reports student attendees said they wanted to send a message of support to the victims and others affected.
Twenty-five-year-old Adacia Chambers has been arrested on a DUI charge in the crash and is jailed.

Authorities identified the driver as 25-year-old Adacia Avery Chambers, who was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol. She is scheduled to appear Monday in Payne County District Court.
