Udhampur attack: Four arrested for helping Pakistani terrorist

He said two BSF personnel – Yamuna Nagar resident Rocky and Subhendu Roy of Jalpaiguri in West Bengal, were killed and 14 others injured in the attack around 18 kms from Udhampur town.

Official sources said the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had on Friday issued an order informing the handing over of the investigations of Udhampur militant attack to the NIA.

Pakistan was on Thursday in denial mode over assertions from India that the terrorist caught alive after the ambush on a BSF convoy in Udhampur was a Pakistani national and asked New Delhi not to make “accusations” without proof. They reached Udhampur on Tuesday night via Tangdhar in Kupwara. “All the detained will be paraded before Usman for identification”.

BJP member Rajendra Agarwal also mentioned the Udhampur attack as also the terror strike carried out in Gurdaspur last week and said Pakistan needs to be exposed.

The arrested, including two brothers who hail from Awantipora in Pulwama, have been identified Javid Ahmed Wani and Fayaz Ahmed, sons of Muhammad Shaban and Javid Ahmed Parray from Charsoo, Pulwama.

The most recent allegation comes after the arrest of a man they claim attacked an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) convoy. This is to ensure that what he has said during interrogation is correct.

Usman has already been shifted to the JIC in Talab Tillo area here where teams of state and central intelligence agencies are interrogating him.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have picked up the vehicle which was used to transport Naved and his associates from north Kashmir to south Kashmir in June soon after they infiltrated from across the LoC.
