The 28-year-old defends her title in the co-main event of Ronda Rousey’s Women’s Bantamweight title bout against unbeaten Holly Holm at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

Mixed martial arts fighter Valerie Letourneau was left with a grotesque eye injury following her defeat to Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 193.
Due to the lopsided nature of those two fights, plus Letourneau’s status as a relative unknown, Jedrzejczyk entered UFC 193 as the biggest betting favorite of the card. Rosholt out-wrestled the impossibly tall Struve for the better part of 15 minutes, taking the fight via unanimous decision in a tedious, boring slog that sucked the life out of the building.
In the end, Rousey will get back to her bread and butter, drag this fight for the floor and get the finish, but it won’t be as quick and lopsided as her previous four outings. Letourneau, though, gave her everything she had and pushed her to the distance for the first time since a late 2014 win over Gadelha.
However, one fighter would feel hard done by looking at the monumental event, and she is none other than one of the most talented strawweights on the roster, Claudia Gadhela.

While feeling guilty she doesn’t get to spend a lot of time with her during this time, Letourneau makes the best and spends as much time with Gabrielle as possible. I’m 32 years old. Letourneau got her bearings back quickly with a clinch, but it was the champion’s superior speed that allowed her to win the striking exchanges. Originally viewed as somewhat of a stepping stone for former strawweight champion Carla Esparza at UFC 185, Jedrzejczyk ran through her like a lion stepping in against a badly wounded gazelle.
‘I’m happy to be here, ‘ the champion said afterwards. The victory made Jedrzejczyk the UFC’s first champion from Poland and only its third European champion, joining Bas Rutten in 1999 and Andrei Arlovski in 2005.
“Everything about (this) fight is so exciting for me”. Add in being a high-profile UFC competitor makes it more hard.
“I’m not so surprised but I feel like I have the respect of Joanna”. I was always into sports (in school). If she can up her output and take more of a Michael Bisping, bury you with volume approach, she’ll continue to maintain a spot in the Top 5 for a long time. The middleweight took to Facebook to call out a certain Brazilian middleweight this week: “I am asking for Vitor Belfort for my next fight”, Kennedy wrote.
