UFC 195 Results: Robbie Lawler Won The Title; Carlos Condit Got Defeated
2016 started with a bang as UFC Welterweight champion “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler and challenger Carlos “The Natural Born Killer” Condit, waged an epic war in the UFC 195 main event last night in Las Vegas.

Despite the judges decision, UFC president Dana White was just one of the many to call the fight in Condit’s favor, and even Lawler had nothing but praise for the man who tried to take his belt following an unforgettable win.
In the end, Rogan still praised the fights, and Lawler’s ability to handle adversity.
Now Lawler will defend his title for the second time, this time against Carlos Condit and his impressive 30-8 record. “He came with a game plan and we battled it out”.
Here’s what we learned from UFC 195: Lawler vs. Condit…
Although that would make it two straight rounds that Condit didn’t necessarily win, he was never lost control of the fight through four rounds. I think he’s OK with it. I think he’s willing to brawl with anyone.
It was a back and forth fight that has people already calling it a lead candidate for the Fight of the Year awards, considering the new year is only 3 days old, it will have some stiff competition as the year goes on.
Lawler now holds one of the more notable success stories in the UFC in recent memory.
At the same time, it was violent and furious, with Condit constantly attacking with combinations and Lawler charging forward with power in the final round, looking to finish, many believing he needed to in order to retain his title. The fight’s cresecendo undoubtedly occured during the final five minutes when Lawler went on the rampage, lighting Condit up with huge punches that left him on unsteady legs and sapped his strength, yet he refused to fall down or give in and made it to the final bell under heavy fire.
Former champion Johny Hendricks, who is 1-1 against Lawler, is also in the mix, provided he wins his upcoming bout against Stephen Thompson.
“I’ve been at this for a long time, over 40 professional MMA and kickboxing fights”.
“I did all I could to get the victory”.
UFC 195 was expected to be headlined by Ronda Rouseys title defense against Holly Holm, while Lawler and Condit were scheduled to meet at UFC 193 in Australia in November.
A large majority of commenters on Twitter gave the third to Condit, but two judges scored it for Lawler. Lawler won about twenty seconds of the entire second frame, but it was enough to gain him the round.

Condit had done just about everything in MMA aside from winning an undisputed UFC belt. Lawler has respect for Jackson’s fighters and their upset capabilities, but nothing intimidates him anymore.
