UFC 196: Miesha Tate stuns Holly Holm to win women’s bantamweight title
“I think that Ronda now will now fight Miesha Tate for the title”.

Known for making fights ugly and mixing up her striking and takedowns in a dynamic fashion, Tate is an unquestionable threat in the UFC women’s bantamweight division. In November, Holm beat Rousey for that title.
However, due to the damages Rousey received during that fight, a rematch with Holm was suspended and the UFC chose to hand Tate a shot at the gold. For Miesha Tate, it was an early submission that rendered then-champion Holly Holm weak throughout the later rounds, resulting in an eventual win.

Until losing to current middleweight champion Luke Rockhold last December, it appeared as though Weidman deserved membership in that elite group.
What she watched transpire from UFC 196 was a clearer path to her resurrection as a champion.
“I’ll tell you this, to be brutally honest with you, as a fan, I love her attitude and I love that”.
[McGregor] is saying that, ‘I went up two weight divisions.’ No, he did not fight Robbie Lawler.
White said he texted Rousey, who supposedly wasn’t watching the fight.
“(Wrestling) is definitely her background”, Holm said. “Tonight I made some mistakes… I want to be ready for wherever the fight goes”.
Neither champion needed to take the fights they’re facing, but neither betrays any sign of worry about stepping into the MGM Grand Garden Arena cage. “I want to make sure I make the most of this fight and not look past it”. The PPV fight card consists of five fights, including two light heavyweight fights and two women’s bantamweight fights.
But Diaz, who took on this fight at short notice, will surely believe that the defeat of McGregor means that he deserves a shot at the title.
Holm (10-1) threw a left that Tate slipped and dipped to grab Holm by the waist.

Diaz, a feisty 30-year-old out of Stockton, Calif., withstood the best that McGregor could dish out.
