UFC 200: Amanda Nunes submits Miesha Tate to win bantamweight title
It comes but once a year fight fans.

These two fighters had been scheduled to meet at UFC 197 until Cormier was forced to withdraw due to injury.
When the week started, Miesha Tate’s bantamweight title bout wasn’t the main event of the historic UFC 200 card at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, but events transpired and thrust this title bout into the spotlight. She promised that she will beat Nunes as she has prepared well for her. Tate knows Nunes has prepared for her as well and promise that it will be a good solid bout between them.
Tate is the second women’s bantamweight champ post-Rousey era to lose her title in her first title defense, following Holm, the woman “Cupcake” upset for the title earlier this year.
As for Tate, she was far less celebratory, with a badly bruised face, she said, “She’s very fast, very risky, and she caught me fair and square”.
Nunes is in a relationship with UFC strawweight fighter Nina Ansaroff and there was an emotional moment at the press conference when Nunes praised Ansaroff for all that she’s done for her, personally and professionally. This is what I have been saying about Amanda. I have more determination to be here and stay here than she does. But when she’s not, when she’s put in that spot of adversity, she tends to break. I think she likes to be delivering. Peace in the world is very important and I don’t think the US is going to let this happen again.
It was the beginning of the end for Tate when the 28-year-old Brazilian got comfortable throwing her punches.
However, she wasn’t down for long as Tate couldn’t retain her advantageous the position.
“I feel there’s a lot pressure on me, but the thing that I really like about that is I know it”, Tate said.
Brazil’s Aldo (26-2), coming off a 13-second knockout loss to McGregor in December, dropped Edgar late in the first round with a quick punch as the former lightweight champion jumped toward Aldo. “I want to go out there and I want to defend my belt, and I want to make a statement that women’s MMA is awesome”.

Since picking up the belt, there was much speculation as to who her first challenger would be, with Rousey and Holm the most obvious opponents. I felt the same way about my standup and obviously I got it done with the strikes. She just had surgery yesterday on her knee – nothing serious, just get in there and scope it, clean it out a little bit.
