And seeing her husband getting hurt in the octagon never gets any easier for Ryan Miocic, who recently married reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic.

“I have been in the fight business for a long time and I understand it very well, and so I’m not surprised at all”, Overeem said. Andrade is a unsafe fighter, but I have Calderwood winning due to her technical fighting.

The title will be on the line at UFC 203 on Saturday night the the first ever UFC event in Cleveland, Ohio.

Overeem, the first fighter to workout during Wednesday’s open training session, told reporters he would win by knockout in the second or third round.

“The most important thing for me that night is making sure none of my limos break down”, Steve said. “I’m part of the fight”. And if Miocic’s last performance was any indication of what’s to come, the heavyweight belt isn’t going anywhere. Overeem (41-14 MMA, 6-3 UFC) vs. Miocic (15-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) headlines the pay-per-view main card following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. “My game plan is great, so I’m very confident”.

UFC Heavyweights-Fabricio Werdum vs. Travis Browne: Browne is this massive striker that hasn’t used his striking in recent fights. Soon after, the Cavaliers rallied to win an National Basketball Association title.

“Cleveland needed it”, he said. “There’s definitely that extra tingling of nerves. I will not let the people of Hawaii down”, Browne continued.

The video ends with going inside of the training camp of former world-renowned professional wrestler Phil “CM Punk” Brooks as he prepares for his first UFC fight against Mickey Gall.

Until he’s in the trenches with seasoned warriors such as Velasquez and Overeem, a dark cloud of doubt will hang over the head of the current heavyweight king, and Saturday’s headliner offers Miocic an opportunity to erase some of that doubt. I don’t want to give anything up. Being home is a good thing, Miocic said, but he has not lost focus or become distracted by the hype or emotion.

If Miocic wins, it’s not going to be because Overeem was overcome by the moment or shaken by a boisterous crowd rooting for the hometown hero. “But otherwise, I don’t see it lasting two or three rounds”.

Miocic might bring a blue-collar feel to the term “baddest man on the planet”, a title typically reserved for the heavyweight champion of any combat discipline, but make no mistake – there’s dynamite in his fists. It’s no surprise, considering he hasn’t quit his day job as a firefighter and paramedic in OH despite becoming the UFC heavyweight champion.

But if Miocic brings “Believeland” to its feet by solidifying his status as the UFC’s reigning heavyweight champion with a victory over an unbelievably accomplished opponent, every household in OH will know his name before the Browns begin their season on Sunday. With the win, a shot to reclaim UFC heavyweight belt may be in the near future for the fighter.
