Rousey made headlines earlier this year when Access Hollywood asked the MMA star if she would ever consider fighting Mayweather.

Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey has never been afraid to make verbal jabs at her competitors. “People will love you on Friday and then Sunday morning, it’s nothing but negative comments and people making jokes and people making fun about you, which I don’t think is cool”, he said. When later asked what he would like to improve on, he said “boxing”, before turning his attention back to Rousey. TMZ owner Harvey Levin followed up by asking White if he thought Rousey had not taken Holm seriously. There was even a petition to get her removed, but ABC stood up for her.
Rousey suffered the first defeat of her UFC career after being knocked out by fellow American Holly Holm in devastating circumstances at UFC 193 last weekend.
“If you look at the actual KO – now, she did get nailed, Rousey, with several shots before the finish of the fight”, he said.
He commended UFC head Dana White on his part in creating the Rousey Effect that has further promoted the sport, and acknowledged the work that Rousey has put in to get to the top of one of the most brutal sports in the world.
Aldo said he wasn’t shocked by the one-sided nature of Holm’s victory, saying she was always the favourite if both fighters stayed on their feet.

There were reports after the fight of a re-match between the newly-crowned champion Holm and Rousey. A guy or girl is going to take a break or go away, or has an injury that they have to tend to, whatever the reasons are, and they’re a champion – you take the championship off of them.
