UFC heavyweight title: Stipe Miocic vs. Alistair Overeem round-by-round coverage
Faber has the experience, but has lost three of his last six fights. In 56 professional MMA bouts, “The Reem” has evolved into one of the most risky heavyweights on the planet.

It’s Miocic’s first title defense since he knocked out Fabricio Werdum in the first round of their UFC 198 main event, winning the championship in his 11th UFC fight. Fans have been enjoying the championship victories by their hometown Cavaliers in the National Basketball Association and the UFC’s own Stipe Miocic.
“Cleveland needed it”, he said.
“We’re here for one goal and one goal only: We’re going to cement my legacy”. Even though Overeem is strong at distance, Miocic is highly likely to have more stamina if the fight goes that way, and he would be looking for an opening to end the bout with a large punch. “The afterparty for some people will not be as nice”.
But Overeem knocked Miocic down with a straight left and almost finished the fight when he raced in and followed with a guillotine.
Miocic and Overeem are well-rounded fighters who excel in striking.
“Overeem brings a lot of challenges”.
Stipe and his opponent Alistair Overeem were professional on stage but another local fighter, Jennifer Eye got into a scuffle with her opponent. Just being out there under the lights was the most fun I’ve ever had and to say it again, the second best day of my life.
Overeem is supremely confident but isn’t underestimating Miocic, a man he called a risky fighter who is champion for a reason. Overeem loves to fight at a distance, it is a good fight down. “He’s got power but everybody’s got power”. We’ve got to be ready for his wrestling. Both of his title fights have ended in the first round, and he’s a tough foe for anyone in the division.
Overeem was comfortably bombarding the champion with deadly strikes when Miocic caught a sidekick, giving him an opportunity to slump his Dutch foe to the canvas.
However, Overeem is not concern about the odds as his main concern is to beat Miocic and take his fourth title in his illustrious MMA career.
One of them will live his fairy tale on Saturday night. “We have a great strategic plan like we always do and I’ll walk in confident like I always do”.
Miocic was sent to the deck early on by short left hand, but the heavyweight champ recovered and proceeded to stun Overeem with punches of his own.

“I got him in a guillotine choke, he tapped, the ref didn’t see it”. “This was a hell of a mountain to try and climb but I’m not going to quit”.
