UFC: I’ll be back, says beaten Ronda Rousey
There should be no misunderstanding that Ronda Rousey can indeed fight but up against someone with the skill set of Holly Holm she was simply over matched. These turncoats include journalists who despite being belittled as “bloggers” and hung-up on by Rousey on the recent UFC 193 conference call heretofore gave her the kind of press that L’Osservatore Romano reserves for Jesus.

Silva suffered a similar setback in his first fight with Chris Weidman in 2013 after defending his UFC middleweight title on 10 occasions, which still stands as the all time record.
As previously reported, Rousey was undefeated until her fight with Holm over the weekend in Melbourne, Australia. The challenger went right after the champion, slugging her with punch after punch through the first round and into the second. That muzzle has now been ripped – err, kicked off. Without question, Rousey’s striking was painfully ineffective against Holm. Immediately, criticisms of Hall not letting his hands go hit social media, but that sometimes can be easier said than done, particularly against an opponent like Robert Whittaker, who was obviously intent on staying aggressive.
Holm connected with more straight punches shortly after that dropped the champion. Holm was dominant all through the round, as she was able to control the pace and block Rousey’s signature moves.
“The Preacher’s Daughter” followed with clinical shots before referee Herb Dean stopped the fight.
“I don’t know about this fight, I just know that you win a few and you lose a few”, Mayweather said.

In other words, while Holm might very well be the women’s bantamweight division’s best fighter, it’s hard to see her becoming its biggest star.
Ali wasn’t the only person to slam Rousey about the fight. “She came in with it and now she is the champion”.
She is also the first fighter to ever hold world titles in both boxing and MMA. Why should Rousey get an instant rematch? She’s expected to be humble.
Joe Rogan may have been reacting to a Holly Holm win, but Uncle Dana looked like he was focusing on the Ronda Rousey loss. The Invicta FC featherweight champ is yet to be snatched up by the UFC for various reasons including but not limited to weight, money, politics, drugs and the fact they had Rousey to promote WMMA.
The now former-champion has shown that she is okay competing frequently in the calendar year. It was Ronda’s personal life (since it became public that she was dating UFC heavyweight Travis Browne) being brought to the fore front. She had a ideal, flawless game plan.
Letourneau went up against a unique talent at UFC 193.
That would mean that Holm-Rousey 2 would not happen until July next year.
Bottom Line: Holly Holm scored the biggest upset in UFC history. She’s not an easy fighter to look good against in the cage.

Maybe it was because all of Holm’s MMA fights lasted at least until the second round, whereas Rousey bouts lasted mere seconds.
