UFC prez Dana White: We pulled Conor McGregor from UFC 200
“What’s happened is we pulled Conor McGregor from UFC 200 and we’re working on other fights right now”, White said.

According to McGregor’s social media accounts, the fighter, known as “The Notorious”, is now training in Iceland. But every other fighter on the card is coming. Even if you don’t know anything about the UFC, you might recognize him, he’s on SportsCenter all the time as that little Irish guy who talks a LOT of trash.
McGregor’s longtime coach, John Kavanagh, didn’t do anything to dispel his star student’s cryptic tweet, saying “Well was fun while it lasted”.
Conor McGregor sent the Twitterverse into meltdown last night as he announced his “retirement” from mixed martial arts. When Nick Diaz didn’t show up for a UFC 137 press conference in 2011 he was pulled from a title fight against Georges St-Pierre. “I don’t know”, White added.
White said Diaz is flying into Las Vegas on Tuesday and they will discuss a new opponent.
The victor was scheduled to get the first shot at a unification fight against McGregor.
There was speculation that McGregor’s tweet might have been prompted by the death of Joao Carvalho from injuries sustained in a fight in Ireland earlier this month.
McGregor was supposed to appear at a planned UFC 200 news conference this week in Las Vegas, where the company will stage UFC 197 at MGM Grand.
He rose to prominence after knocking out undefeated UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo in 13 seconds at UFC 194. White said there would also be another fight added to the UFC 200 bill in addition to that.

Initially, the 27-year-old’s sensational tweet was interpreted as a joke, but sources close to the Irishman have claimed his statement was 100-per-cent true.
