UFC star Ronda Rousey becomes first woman to appear on Australia’s Men’s

Ronda Rousey is believed to be one of the biggest draws in MMA, as the current UFC female bantamweight champion has carried over her success outside the sport. Speaking to Joe Rogan in the cage following the bout, Pena had strong words for the champ.

Eye throws up her legs looking for the triangle, but Pena shrugs that off and moves to half.

“Dana White calls Ronda the Mike Tyson of MMA”. Good thing that Ronda Rousey has the upcoming fight against Holly Holm to distract herself with! Interestingly enough, Pena was on the season of The Ultimate Fighter when Rousey served as a coach before becoming the first woman to win the show. “Well I’m Evander Holyfield”, she said. With Pena clearly winning two of the three rounds, and with Eye suffering the point deduction in the one round where she held an edge, it amounted to a unanimous decision win for Pena, who didn’t get the finish she promised, but still dominated the fight on the mat.

“Jessica Eye is very respectful and skilled opponent”. “Jessica was really tough”.

Eye was hoping to bounce back from a loss to top contender Miesha Tate in her last outing in July, but it didn’t happen.

A minute to go and Pena scrambles to her knees.

Eye muscles her way back up to her feet before Pena can do much with the position. The referee deducted Eye 1 point on first-time offense, but restarted the fight standing instead of at the old position in a controversial moment.

“I had six fights in 14 months, and that was my most successful career”. Hopefully, we’ll be talking about a title shot here in the near future, or I’m in the wrong business. She locked on a rear-naked choke that had Eye’s face almost turning purple.
