Uganda angered at claim of halt to North Korea military ties
Kutesa was responding to a question on whether the government would continue working with North Korea which has been offering military and police training to Uganda, reported the Daily Monitor.

“We instructed officials to faithfully enforce the UN Security Council resolutions, including the halt of co-operation with North Korea in the security, military and police sectors”, Jung quoted Museveni as saying.
The two leaders expressed their special attachment taking into account the fact that their parents, Kenya’s founding president Jomo Kenyatta and the founder of South Korea’s third republic, Park Chun-hee, were friends and were elected in 1963.
South Korea – which has become a donor country from a key recipient of U.N. aid in half a century – has been sharing its development experience with developing nations.

Kenya and South Korea Tuesday signed multi-billion dollar cooperation agreements in such areas as technology, industry, health, and energy, during South Korean President Park Geun-Hye’s visit to the East African country.
Park also said Seoul and Paris can stay ahead in the hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle market if liquefaction technology of French Air Liquide S.A. and South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Co. join forces.

The MOU on scientific and technological cooperation – signed by Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and Korea’s Foreign Affairs Minister Yun Byung-se – entails sharing of policies and technologies in the fields of science and technology between the two countries.
“We condemn such provocative acts that will invariably lead to further tensions in the region”, the Kenyan leader said. He also vowed that Uganda will faithfully implement United Nations resolutions imposed on the North.
Uhuru invited more Korean companies to set up businesses in Kenya, and welcomed more partnerships in the construction of roads, pipelines and ports.

Park is travelling with a delegation of more than 200 who include businessmen and government officials, according to South Korea’s ambassador to Kenya Young Dae Kwon.
