UK Astronaut Tim Peake To help Two Astronauts space walk Outside ISS
If all goes according to plan, this would take place less than a week after he arrived at the space station, also becoming the first astronaut to live there. Two American astronauts will step out on a short spacewalk today to move a stalled rail auto that is stuck outside the International Space Station, NASA said.

The European Space Agency has made a playlist of his music on Spotify.
Tim Peake and two other astronauts – Timothy Kopra of the United States and Yuri Malenchenko of Russian Federation – blast off from Kazakhstan’s Baikonur Cosmodrome.
Tim Peake’s first photo showed the handsome Earth covered in clouds.
The pair will have spent 340 consecutive days living and working in space to advance understanding of the medical, psychological and biomedical challenges astronauts face during long duration spaceflight, in addition to developing countermeasures to reverse those effects. The crew is scheduled to stay aboard the ISS for seven months, meaning they would likely have to wait to catch “Episode VII” on DVD, a true bummer for any real-life space explorer.
In January 2014, the Obama Administration announced the United States was committed to extending operations of the International Space Station (ISS) through at least 2024. Kelly will be designated Extravehicular Activity crew member 1 (EV1) wearing the suit bearing the red stripes, and Kopra will be Extravehicular Activity crew member 2 (EV2) wearing the suit with no stripes.
For decades, cost-conscious British governments declined to invest in human space flight, confining the U.K.’s space contribution to robotic missions.
He says his first impressions of space go way beyond his expectations.
He said: “Christmas Day is always a time to kind of reflect on friends and family and the future. Science is what brought me up here and science is what will bring me back home”.
“We have got all the communications up here in the space station so I will be able to call my family at home”, he said.
Tim Peake’s thanked the thousands of people around the world who have sent him good luck messages.
The accident occurred on a space station supply run for NASA.
