UK PM Cameron says will step down by October after Brexit vote
David Cameron has won the support of two thirds of Brexit-backing Tory MPs, after the EU Referendum stoked a civil war that saw ministers and senior figures fight bitterly for months. He said the will of the British people was “an instruction that must be delivered”.

Gove tried to play down personal attacks during the campaign. This was a vote not primarily about the UKs relationship with the European Union but about the sustainability of the whole European Union project and there will be a serious fallout for the remaining member states.
European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker, leader of the European Parliament President Martin Schulz, European Council President Donald Tusk, and the rotating head of the EU council, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte – disagreed, apparently eager to rip off the band-aid.
Having successfully led the UK’s “Vote Leave” campaign, the 52-year-old will now be widely regarded as the victor in the European Union referendum – at least among his fellow Brexiteers.
Just a year ago, Johnson was a crucial weapon for the Conservatives in the general election that gave the party full control of the United Kingdom government and Cameron a second term as prime minister.
“This is a victory for real people, a victory for ordinary people, a victory for decent people”, he said.
And social media users say they may become Conservative Party members so they get a vote in the forthcoming leadership election.
During campaigning for the referendum, Cameron had said he would stay on regardless of the vote’s outcome. “Now time for our party to come back together”.
He told the BBC his suggestions Chancellor George Osborne lied to the public – by comparing him to Pinocchio – were “a bit of fun”.
“The Conservative Party has an instinct ultimately I sense that once the argument is over they will want to be back”.
It appears she is one of many Leave voters who have started to regret their votes.
However, on Wednesday, leading Conservative lights in both camps claimed the party will reunite after the referendum.
Referring to the Brexit polls, he said, “there was no way of dealing with a decision on this scale except by putting it to the people”, and added he is very proud of the result.
