UK’s new Labour leader fires up faithful in 1st speech
Promising a new way of conducting politics, he will say: “These values are what I was elected on: a kinder politics and a more caring society”.

Although the Sky Pulse poll suggests that Jeremy Corbyn has his work cut out to convince voters he can lead the country, he can take a few comfort in the fact that 59% of participants are more likely to vote for him after watching his address. “Politics that’s kinder, more inclusive”.
Mr Corbyn said under his leadership, Labour would be “a voice for engagement in partnership with those who share our values”.
The conference speech was written by Mr Corbyn and his chief of staff Neale Coleman, but a spokesman for the Labour leader confirmed that Mr Heller’s words had been used as a source. The veteran left-winger accused Conservatives of trying to make middle-earners and the poor bear the burden of eliminating Britain’s deficit, while protecting the richest from the consequences of the economic crisis.
Under pressure from many in the pro-European party, Corbyn has already backtracked over Britain’s membership of the European Union.
Mr Corbyn is expected to emphasise his belief that far from being on the extreme left of British political thinking, he represents the mainstream.
Then he added: “Our Labour Party came into being to fight that attitude”.
He called on Prime Minister David Cameron to review its approach to governments that “abuse their own citizens”.
Shadow foreign secretary Hilary Benn has already made clear he supports the renewal of Trident, which is due to be decided on by the Government next year.
He failed to get his party’s annual conference to allow a debate on the replacement of the UK’s strategic nuclear deterrent, Trident, which he opposes, but which the majority of his party supports.
“As with every other new Labour leader, I offered it to Corbyn shortly after his election, both to him personally and to Neale Coleman, on learning of his appointment as chief of staff”.
“He is so genuine, he is an honest man”. But rather than following the Conservative route of austerity, Labour will balance the books by targeting corporate tax avoidance and subsidies for companies and by stimulating economic growth.
“The party yesterday, the delegates that are here, voted not to have that particular debate this week, and Jeremy has said quite clearly that he wants to open up this party to a much more democratic process and that democratic process spoke yesterday”.

Senior party members have suggested that lawmakers would be allowed to vote their conscience on this issue, as well as any proposal to expand military operations against Islamic State into Syria.
