In a report by Billboard, the ban came after Durst penned a letter in October that stated that he was interested in buying a house in Crimea, the region that was annexed by Russian Federation in 2014.
It followed an open letter from the head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, who said he wanted to turn the Black Sea peninsular region into “the new Beverly Hills”.
The rap-metal star has allegedly fallen foul of the country’s security service, who last month imposed the ban, according to Ukrainian newspaper Astropof.
Further details about the ban have not been released and Durst has yet to comment on the reports.
Durst is also apparently a supporter of Russian president Vladimir Putin and has spoken of his desire to obtain a Russian passport.
Fellow Limp Bizkit bandmate Wes Borland intends on staying on U.S. soil to work on his own television series titled “American Rehab: Motor City” on the DIY Network.

No, strangely enough it’s not for “crimes against” music – but the reason for Fred Durst’s alleged ban from Ukraine is certainly unusual.
