‘Ultimate hypocrite’: Donald Trump bombards Ted Cruz with vicious tweetstorm
But lawyer Cruz swiftly retorted that under Trump’s own logic, he wasn’t eligible either – because his mother Mary MacLeod came from the isle of Lewis.

On Saturday morning, the Republican presidential candidate was stuck in an elevator at a campaign stop in SC.
“On behalf of all New Yorkers, I am disgusted at the insult that Ted Cruz threw at this city, and its people”, de Blasio told reporters.
The comments come on the heels of Thursday’s Republican debate in which Cruz and Trump verbally sparred over several issues.
Aside from sounding caustic, some accused Cruz of being anti-Semitic after making those remarks.
Following Trump’s declaration to ban Muslim immigrants from entering the United States, CNN’s Chris Cuomo got heated during an interview and called the plan “stupid”.
“People are waking up, and just like millions of New Yorkers, they are fed up with policies that don’t fight for the working men and women of this country, but instead further the elite liberal views that have taken this country down a path that is not working”, Cruz said.
That all sounds pretty much like what Ted Cruz was saying about “New York values” being at odds with conservative ones.
Cruz continued with a litany of “apologies” to jab at Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio.
Todd: let’s start with last night and let’s go, when you hear the phrase NY values, I understand what Donald Trump said.
“There’s a big question mark on your head and you can’t do that to the party”, Trump said.
Cruz has raised $490,600 from New Yorkers, his presidential campaign finance filings show. “I’m hoping that Ted Cruz doesn’t actually feel that way”.
The “birther” argument was a non-issue, Cruz replied, adding that Trump’s motivations were obvious.
“I was wondering how long after 9/11 before politicians could goad shitkickers into hating NY again”, Maher stated.
For those coming late to this debate, Cruz is a USA citizen who was born in Canada, and whose mother is a US citizen.
“I don’t know that he’s a nice guy”, said Donald Trump, but he pointed out that he “checked the online polls and they have 200,000 or 300,00 people calling in and “I won every one of them”.
He noted that “New Yorkers may go about things differently” but their values are the same as the rest of America.

Trump said Democrats are planning lawsuits to keep Cruz from the White House.
