UN Condemns Deadly Airstrike on Yemen School
The global aid organization – also known as Médecins Sans Frontières, or MSF – said Abs Hospital in the northern Hajjeh province was hit by strikes in the afternoon. A second air strike killed four of their relatives as people tried to rescue them, they said.

“Once again, a fully functional hospital full of patients and MSF national and global staff members, was bombed in a war that has shown no respect for medical facilities or patients”, Teresa Sancristoval, for MSF’s Emergency Unit in Yemen, said in the statement.
At least seven people were killed and 20 wounded when a Saudi-led and US-backed coalition airstrike blasted a hospital in Yemen’s northern Hajja province on Monday, authorities said.
Earlier this month, the coalition acknowledged “shortcomings” in two out of eight cases it had investigated of UN-condemned air strikes on civilian targets in Yemen.
The charity says more than 4,600 patients have been treated at the Abs hospital since July 2015, reports the BBC.
It is not the first time a hospital supported by Doctors Without Borders has been hit in Yemen. The country has become a proxy battleground between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi coalition began its air campaign in March 2015 in support of Yemeni President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi, whose government had been drive from the capital by Houthi rebels.
