UN Slams Israel for “Excessive Use of Force” Against Terrorists
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that Israeli forces had entered the Qalandiya refugee camp overnight during “routine activity to arrest suspects and collect weapons”.

Palestinian camp activist Raed Hamdan identified the two as Ahmad Jahajha, 21, a resident of the refugee camp, and Hikmat Hamdan, 29, from the nearby town of el-Bireh.
The UN voiced deep concern Tuesday over an “unacceptable” wave of Palestinians attacking Israelis, but also slammed Israeli authorities’ reported “excessive use of force” in response to the attacks.
Hamas urged that the “heroic resistance against Israeli soldiers and settlers” carry on in a fight to free the Palestinians from the “occupation” so that they may be granted “the right of return – a sacred, nonnegotiable individual and collective right”.
According to the group, Israeli soldiers and police officers fired at some Palestinian assailants even after they were wounded and posed no further threat.

Speaking yesterday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that young Palestinian demonstrators were “driven by despair (at the fact) that a two-state solution is not coming”.
Israelis and Palestinians have accused each other of inciting violence.
In the same period, 17 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean man were killed.
The latest violence began with a dispute over access to the site of the al-Aqsa Mosque – sacred to both Jews and Muslims – but has since escalated into what many fear may become another full-blown Palestinian uprising.
Israel says the violence is fanned by a Palestinian campaign of lies and incitement.

A campaign of stabbings, shootings and car-rammings by Palestinians has killed 19 Israelis and a US citizen since the start of October. “Enough! We are exhausted of this conflict as we see the Holy Land sullied with blood”.
