What about after Uncharted 4?
The Uncharted series has been very lucrative, it has sold more than 21 million copies as per Sony’s latest count, and a movie is already in development. Druckmann is certain that gamers will be buzzing over the “Uncharted 4” conclusion. The Doughnut Drake is purely aesthetic, so watching a tubby Nathan Drake do all the same death defying stunts adds an extra layer of humor that makes the game worth replaying. “The most important part to get right is Nathan Drake, Nathan Drake’s relationship with Elena and Nathan Drake’s relationship with Sullivan”.
During an interview about the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Naughty Dog‘s Neil Druckmann reveals that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was originally about Thor’s Hammer. If you don’t get that right, I don’t think the film’s going to work. The technical experience in bringing “The Last Of Us” to PS4 reportedly helped with the polish of “Uncharted 4” as well.

Doughnut Drake was considered for Uncharted 4, as stated in the interview “We actually had the whole thing modelled and in there” and that the team “decided to make the call not to do it”. “We’ll tell them what we think works, what we think doesn’t work”, said Druckmann.
