At the time, there was no word on how in-depth the dialogue system would be, but since then Naughty Dog‘s Neil Druckmann has revealed the details on the system.
Talking about how they chose to wrap up the beloved franchise with “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End”, Druckmann said “And we felt we came up with something that looks at the three previous games as the start of an arc, and this is the finish”.
Naughty Dog is promising that Amy Hennig’s work will still be honored in the upcoming release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. In one sequence it’s recounted how when Nate and Sam meet again after Nate thought that he was dead. “Let’s give fans the option so they can start the story wherever they want”. “It’s gonna be fun for us to really embark on new ideas and start fleshing those out [in a new series]”, Cogburn stated. He jokingly said that while it was probably a “horrible business decision” on their part, the team felt it was time to wrap things up for Nathan and everyone else.
Naughty Dog is making some major changes to Uncharted 4 as far as the dialogue and story narrative is concerned. “When we’re writing for them you can hear their voices in your head”. That’s right, you’ll be able to choose certain dialogue choices for Nathan Drake in Uncharted 4.
