Unclear If Trump Knew of Past Charges Against Campaign CEO

The court filing was among several documents related to Bannon and Picard’s voluminous divorce case, filed in 1997, which was revisited several times as Piccard sought support for tuition and other expenses.

Piccard said in the divorce documents, “Because I was not present at the trial, the case was dismissed”, and said that Bannon’s lawyer told her when she and their daughters could return.

Bannon asked his ex-wife if it bothered her that a second school, the Willows Community School, used to be a Temple. Not a big deal, except that the residence listed as his is, in fact, a vacant home, designated for demolition to make way for a new housing project. Badolato gave Trump a $142 donation in April, campaign finance records show. She added that Bannon has a great relationship with his ex-wife and kids.

He was charged in February 1996 with domestic violence, battery and attempting to dissuade a victim from reporting a crime, but the case was dropped when Ms. Piccard did not show up in court. Politico and the New York Post first reported on the case Thursday. Bannon pleaded “not guilty” to the allegations and was represented by a local criminal defense attorney during the proceedings. When Bannon started to leave, she asked for a credit card for groceries, but he refused and went to his auto, Piccard told police.

“I took the phone to call the police and he grabbed the phone away from me throwing it across the room, and breaking it as he screamed that I was a “crazy f–g c-t!”

Bannon doesn’t appear to have ever lived at either house. Clohesy, a Tea Party activist, moved out of the house earlier this year and has her own irregular voting registration arrangement.

The divorce papers Piccard filed also accused Bannon of spanking their young daughters.

Twitter lit up at the news of Bannon’s registration. She said that she started to fight back striking at his face so he would let go of her.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign denounced Breitbart News as “anti-Semitic” while criticizing Trump’s hiring of Bannon, calling to memory a report by a Breitbart writer that referred to Weekly Standard editor William Kristol as a “renegade Jew”.

According to a police report that was posted online by Politico, Bannon’s then-wife said an argument escalated into a physical confrontation in which Bannon grabbed her wrist and at her neck.

The recent appointment of right-wing media mogul Stephen Bannon as chief executive of Donald Trump’s campaign was part of an effort to reset a candidacy that has stumbled with minority and female voters and suffered from controversies surrounding high-level campaign officials.
