A concert in honor of David Bowie’s life and music will be held at Carnegie Hall in New York City on March 31, 2016.

Now musical guests The Roots, Cyndi Lauper, the Mountain Goats, Heart’s Ann Wilson, Perry Farrell and Jakob Dylan will proceed to treat the event as a memorial concert instead. The outpouring of grief that followed after his death shows how much he meant not just to his fans, but also other musicians and society as a whole. We are all deeply saddened by this news.

David Bowie’s recent death from cancer is still a shock to many. “The timing of our public on-sale date is freaky in its timing… may God’s love be with you”.

“Lazarus”, from the same album, came next and saw a 1,084 percent boost. My deepest condolences to Iman (Bowie’s wife) and the family.

“Not only was David a passionate supporter of my career but more importantly a very special person in my life”. It will feature 20 artists who will all perform songs by Bowie.

“David was always an inspiration to me and a true original” said Jagger. He was wonderfully shameless in his work, we had so many good times together… He was my friend. “He was my friend, I will never forget him”.

A make-up artist will be on hand to paint your face as you wish – be it Ziggy Stardust or something else – completely free of charge.

Bowie, who was born in Brixton, London, in 1947, was a frequent visitor to the French Riviera and in Cannes his passing has had particular resonance due to his involvement with the Cannes Film Festival and Midem (Marché worldwide de l’édition musicale) – the world’s largest gathering of companies working in the music industry.
