Mr. Supriyo, who is the Minister of State for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, sustained minor injuries and is now out of danger, said his personal assistant.

“Babul Supriyo was brought to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ (AIIMS) Trauma Centre on Friday evening, after he met with a road traffic accident”.
Supriyo was on his way to the airport to pick up his daughter.
Singer-turned BJP Member of Parliament Babul Supriyo was injured in a bike accident near the Rao Tula Ram flyover in south Delhi at around 5.30 on Friday evening. Sources say that he wanted to surprise his daughter on her arrival and chose to ride the motorbike instead of travelling in his official auto. He all of a sudden lost control and hit the back side of a SUV which had applied sudden brakes, a senior cop said. No complaint has been received in connection with the incident.
Babul Supriyo has been kept under observation after sustaining injuries in the accident.

According to Dr Gupta, a CT scan of Supriyo’s head, chest and abdomen was normal. He was rushed to AIIMS for treatment where he was put under observation for 24 hours.
