United fly in for Pogba

France midfielder Pogba, who left United on a free transfer to join Juve in 2012, is widely expected to return to Old Trafford for a fee reported to be in the region of £92million – with a further £18.4m going to Raiola.

Asked specifically if a deal for Pogba is still a possibility, Mourinho added: “I don’t speak about players from other clubs and he’s a Juventus player”.

“Had to change up Pog haircolour for his new team #ManchesterUnited”, said Criztofferson, the barber, on an Instagram post which showed him cutting Pogba’s hair in his Miami salon.

Pogba has previous at United, having come through the clubs’ ranks before making the move to Turin, and the leading online bookmaker makes it 16/1 that he takes a stroll down memory lane by choosing his old No 42 shirt. “The situation is no different to when I spoke to you on Friday”.

When asked about Ibrahimovic, in his news conference in Shanghai on Thursday, Mourinho replied: “The best suits are the suits by measure”.

Mourinho has reportedly made French worldwide Pogba his top transfer target as he bids to make a big impact in his first season at Old Trafford but it could cost the club a record-breaking £100 million ($130 million, 119 million euros) to land the midfielder.

Mourinho’s former club Chelsea are also said to be interested in the defender along with the two Manchester clubs, with the Portuguese’s replacement, former Juventus and Italian head coach Antonio Conte keen for a reunion with his former player.

This doesn’t mean that a deal won’t eventually get done, as we saw something like this play out in mildly similar fashion with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. We have had a couple over the last three or four years, which is not the Manchester United style, who are used to a manager like Sir Alex Ferguson being in there for so many years.

“We would like the fourth signing as soon as possible but [if it takes] until the 31st of August that’s fine”.

“So basically they only have two or three players out, they have the whole team working together for about a month and I repeat they have played five matches”.
