He was arrested in Ghana on 9 January (16) and appeared at a court in Accra on Wednesday (26Jan16) to face an extradition hearing, during which he agreed to submit himself to British authorities and be returned to the United Kingdom.
The hairdresser left the country days after Ms Blake and their two sons Zachary, eight, and four-year-old Amon were reported missing.
When Ghana High Court Judge Merley Wood asked if he had voluntarily made the decision, Simpson-Kent replied “yes”, adding that he had not been coerced into the decision.
