United Kingdom will implement Brexit when it’s ready, says Theresa May
May said she wanted a smooth process, and added that she and Tusk had serious issues to discuss Britain’s decision to leave the European Union, following a referendum on June 23. The agreement means Norway benefits from the free movement of persons, goods, services and capital within the European Single Market.

India was on Wednesday included among priority countries by the United Kingdom for striking post-Brexit trade deals by Prime Minister Theresa May, who also stressed on developing an “ambitious and bold” model of non-membership association with the European Union.
The Prime Minister said she wanted control over European Union immigration to the United Kingdom, but Brexit secretary David Davis said on Monday it was “very improbable” that the country could control its borders while staying in the single market. “A points-based system does not give you that control”.
“This is the position shared by all 27 member states”. I think that’s what the British people want.
“Perhaps the same reticence about standing up for Britain’s place in the European Union which led you to campaign so ineffectively for Remain also puts you off exposing the weaknesses and contradictions in the Government’s position – but continuing to fail to take Theresa May on over Brexit would be a dereliction of duty”.
“Any new deals will be more comprehensive if the United Kingdom has maximum access to European markets, which means membership of the single market”.
Firstly, he stated that the United Kingdom staying in the single market was “very improbable”, with the United Kingdom instead looking for a “free trade agreement” with other European countries. This placed May and her wing of the party into opposition to five cabinet ministers-Boris Johnson, Liam Fox, Priti Patel, Chris Grayling and Andrea Leadsom-who openly endorsed the policy during the referendum campaign. Commentators have said that this has highlighted the difficulty May faces in uniting her Brexit team around a single approach.
She declined, saying: “It would not be right for us to prejudge those negotiations”.
Britain’s biggest consumer electricals and mobile phone retailer, Dixons Carphone was the latest company to say that its consumers seem unfazed by the Brexit vote.

She added: “There wasn’t a sense in the meeting that we are under pressure on this, there was a sense that they accept the position the Prime Minister has set out, and that that should provide useful time to prepare for the negotiations, precisely because we want to have a smooth departure”.
