“Donald Trump fundamentally misunderstands the Common Core”, the group said in a statement sent to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Clinton told Israel’s Channel 2 that Trump has contributed to ISIS recruiting efforts by singling out Muslims as a threat in his campaign, effectively “giving aid and comfort to their evil ambition”. “National security experts on both sides of the aisle are chilled by what they’re hearing from the Republican nominee”.

Clinton then pivoted and tried to characterized the other half of Trump’s supporters, putting them in “that other basket” and saying they need understanding and empathy.

Twitter user Basketeer Vendetta, under the account Vendetta92429, tweeted out a photo of Trump supporters wearing campaign T-shirts and hats, adding: “Proud to be part of the #BasketOfDeplorables with my fellow Americans”.

Retired Maj. Gen. Peter Cooke, of the United States Air Force, is among those backing Clinton.

Donald Trump raised $90 million in August, the campaign said on Thursday. John McCain was not a war hero because he was captured. Earlier Wednesday, former Defense Secretary William Cohen joined the list of GOP officials supporting Clinton.

“We’ve raised a lot, and a lot of it, unfortunately, came from me”. This is because, in the past, she has criticized them for declining to accept challenging students.

Quinnipiac also released polls today showing Clinton and Trump virtually tied in OH while Clinton holds small leads in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

It offered a prelude to how Clinton and Trump will deal with questions of national security in their three upcoming presidential debates later in September and in October.

At the NY event with with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) supporters, she said that she grouped Mr. Trump’s sexist, racist and homophobic supporters in a “basket of deplorables”. “I don’t even know how you can credibly make the claim to begin with”, the Wisconsin Republican said during an interview on “The Hugh Hewitt Show”, a conservative talk radio program.

Speaking to reporters Thursday morning, Clinton suggested she agreed with Democrats who say she is being held to a different standard in the White House race.

And following his father’s fiery immigration policy speech last week, Trump said the campaign’s platform to “take care of Americans first” would attract Latino and Hispanic voters whose livelihoods were being “undercut by illegal immigration”. “Now, some of those folks – they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America”, said the Democratic nominee, who was the country’s top diplomat during President Barack Obama’s first term.
