Prior to the event Davis, who said he hasn’t decided who he will vote for in November, said having a town hall forum devoted to veterans’ issues with reporters fielding questions from veterans is something that should become a regular part of presidential elections. “But it’s ABSURD that he started off with Trump, ‘Why should you be Commander-in-Chief?'” Jon Favreau, the former speechwriter for President Barack Obama, wrote on Twitter.

She talked about classification “headers” and explained that there was “no evidence” her server had been hacked.
Clinton said defeating ISIS would be her “highest terrorism goal”.
“I think that when you serve in the armed forces, that’s a very special situation”, Trump said. “Always have, always will”. Clinton quickly mentioned that it was a “mistake” and insisted that “none of the emails sent or received by me” had a “secret” or “top secret” or “confidential” header.
That assertion is contradicted by an interview Trump did with Howard Stern in September 2002 in which he was asked whether he supported the invasion. According to notes released from Clinton’s interview with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, she said she relied on others with knowledge about handling classified files.
Is that a promise she could keep as president?
“Permitting there to be an ongoing civil war in Libya would be as threatening and as risky as what we are seeing in Syria”, she said.
Davis, who said he received great care in Veterans Affairs hospitals when he was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, said he’s exhausted of politicians and their “used vehicle talk”, and he wants to know who is actually going to step up to be a leader when it comes to veterans’ issues.
“We did not lose a single American in that action”.
Lauer then asked Trump what about his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who “annexed Crimea, invaded Ukraine, supports Assad in Syria, supports Iran, is trying to undermine our influence in key regions of the world”. He sure did, however.
Trump said at the forum that he’d be open to “working” a way for undocumented immigrants to serve in the USA military – a sharp contrast to his tone during a speech in Arizona last week where he said he would focus on deporting undocumented immigrants from the country.
People from either side of the political spectrum, as well as many journalists, panned Lauer’s performance for his choice of questions, lack of follow-up queries, and not taking advantage of opportunities to fact-check the Democratic and Republican nominees for president. And I was against the war in Iraq.
But Trump stood by a 2013 tweet that implied military sexual assault is a result of women serving in the military, when asked by Lauer.
Trump, who has both said he has a secret plan to defeat ISIS and, if elected, that he would give generals 30 days to present him with a plan to beat ISIS, also offered little clarity as to which was the case.
Trump has repeatedly attacked Clinton over her support for the war, saying it showed poor judgment.
“I don’t blame Lauer for asking the email question”.
