Donald Trump is repeating his claim that he was “being sarcastic” when he called President Barack Obama “the founder” of the Islamic State terror group.
Trump has previously backtracked on controversial comments by implying he was only joking. “Everybody in this country knows exactly what Donald Trump means, whether it be on that or other issues”. But he and Hillary get the most valuable player award having to do with Iraq. “I gave him the most valuable player award”, Trump told Hewitt.
Trump claimed sarcasm in July as well after he was heavily criticized for inviting Russian Federation to dig up tens of thousands of “missing” emails from Clinton’s time as USA secretary of state.
“I think I’m not flawless”.
Hewitt: “But he’s not sympathetic to them”.
The idea that a sitting U.S. president created a militant group determined to kill Americans and other Westerners took that line of attack to a new level.
Obama, whom ISIS portrays as a top enemy. “His, the way he got out of Iraq, that was the founding of ISIS”. “He’s the founder”, Trump continued. Clearly, there’s culpability. There’s a lot we could have done in Iraq.
In a statement, Clinton campaign aide Jake Sullivan responded: “It goes without saying that this is a false claim from a presidential candidate with an aversion to the truth and an unprecedented lack of knowledge”. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump speaks to a group of pastors at the Orlando Convention Center, Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, in Orlando, Fla. They’re the founders. Reporter: And he lobbed the inflammatory accusation not once – These are the founders of Isis because of bad judgment.
“Only Mr. Trump can answer and will answer for his tweet and statement”, Cohen said. This is a tactic, this is not an accident, this is a tactic.
He said Republicans and Democrats agree that these actions have allowed the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, to flourish in the Middle East. Take a look at San Bernardino.
“I made that decision”, he said.

US Representative Sean Duffy, a Republican from Wisconsin who backs Trump, said Obama and Clinton did not found Islamic State and urged Trump to stay on message. “Her weakness. Her weak policies”. And I give it to him, and I give it to, I gave the co-founder to Hillary.
