A teenage girl was forced to marry a stray dog in attempt of getting rid from the evil spell, which according to village elders would have destroyed her family.

According to the reports, the 18 year old girl, Mangli Munda, from some remote area of eastern India, was forced to marry with a stray dog, named sheru, in attempt of making her future secure.
The village elders had suggested to perform the event as soon as possible after a local guru warned them about the bad luck of the girl.
However, she was allowed to marry a man later after marrying the dog.
When villager were asked – they explained that there were many marriages took place like this and this all helped in removing the future bad luck.
