WASHINGTON The U.S. political battle over the Iran nuclear agreement has gone Hollywood, thanks to a new video strongly backing the deal featuring boldface names from Jack Black and Morgan Freeman to former spy Valerie Plame and Jordan’s Queen Noor. It’s basically a nuclear agreement between the United States, Iran and various allies regarding the latter country’s development and use of nuclear technology, something that many are freaking out about. Global Zero, a social movement looking to get rid of the world’s nuclear weapons, certainly seems like a good enough (and sufficiently unobjectionable) cause for its celebrity backers, which also includes Matt Damon – but who had the idea for this ad?
The video implores Americans to call their legislators and pledge their support for the president’s deal.
Queen Noor pops in to add “we’re not actually anxious about Iran dropping a nuclear weapon on the United States”, before Pickering points out that, should Congress sabotage the deal, “there would be nothing stopping Iran from getting the bomb”.

Meanwhile, Natasha Lyonne from the popular “Orange is the New Black” TV show chimes in with: “Don’t let some hot-headed member of Congress screw this up.”
