The Baltimore Ravens handled the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, earning a 13-7 victory at home.
Baltimore faces another big test with an AFC North matchup Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, who will be without injured starting quarterback Robert Griffin III.
It never turned the ball over, sacked Flacco four times (two by outside linebacker Jerry Hughes and 1½ by defensive tackle Leger Douzable) and controlled Baltimore’s running game (28 carries for 83 yards).

While losers from this week’s game are expected, there are also a few players and units that could be described as winners – I know shocking. Basically, we were taking what they were giving us throughout the game.. Tyrod Taylor and company would find it tough sledding the rest of the way advancing the ball no further than the Baltimore 49-yard line the remainder of the game.
He did just that in his first game in purple and black. “As a defense, you’ve got to do something”. “We didn’t give up big plays on offense or defense”. However, again, the Bills defense kept the Ravens offense to only 13 points and managed multiple times to stop the Ravens offense when they needed to.
Maybe the ice cold offense scared Rex Ryan or he was just doing what most National Football League coaches do when it comes to fourth downs. What about Sammy Watkins or even Marquise Goodwin, two speedsters who get downfield with the best of them?
“I don’t know how many penalties we had but we too many”, safety Corey Graham said. Taylor didn’t throw the ball much down the middle and spent much of the day throwing into the flats. How good were they? However, Ryan couldn’t fully work his magic on the defense and the team fell short of expectations.

“What’s disappointing is that 14 points would have won this game”, he said. “He was able to stiff arm the guy and make sure he got in the end zone”. “We should have doubled the receiver that caught the touchdown”. And I love the effort of our guys, but we have to start making some plays. It was really important to win the game.
