According to traveler Troy Petrunoff, about an hour and a half into the flight, a stewardess announced there was a security concern sparked by a disruptive passenger.
An air traffic control transcript was released, detailing the pilot’s requesting an emergency landing.
A passenger was arrested for making threats that forced an outbound Phoenix flight to land halfway through the trip.
The Twitter account of the band Augustines claims a passenger threatened “he wants to kill people”.
