UP Honor Flight Mission XI
The group included 12 veterans of World War II, two veterans from the Korean War, one Vietnam War veteran and one veteran who served in all three wars.

The pair, via remarks and projected slides, talked about their May 25 veterans trip to Washington, D.C. via Honor Flight Northeast Indiana. “And our goal is to make sure that they are not the forgotten veterans”. Saturday’s flight will focus on veterans of the Korean War.
A total of ninety veterans and their guardians went on the flight and organizers say the it was a success.
Vietnam War-era veterans toured a number of monuments during the second from last Quad City Honor Flight for 2016.
The veterans will return Wednesday night around 8:30 p.m.
The itinerary includes visits to the World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean Memorial, Vietnam Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
Sixteen veterans took off from Meadows Field Airport.
The 21st and 22nd Honor Flights from Fort Wayne are coming up this month and next, on September 22 and October 12, respectively.

The public is invited to attend the welcome home celebration at the welcome point in the main terminal.
