Up to 305 Clinton emails might have classified data

She has also said that all emails that were, or potentially were, work-related records have been provided to the State Department.

They’re casting about for methods of distraction and attack – issuing nonsense spin memos, attempting comedy, blaming Republicans, etc. – but the bottom line remains that the Obama Justice Department is investigating the gross mishandling of classified material (the existence of which she denied) on Hillary’s rules-violating server.

‘I love it. I love it. Those messages disappear all by themselves, ‘ she said in the video.

Hillary Clinton has testified that the server was wiped clean of more than 31,000 emails that involved personal matters such as wedding plans, vacations and details regarding physical conditioning and workouts.

The final number is expected to be in the hundreds, the Times reported on Sunday, citing sources that say the review of her emails is likely to continue until January. What makes the report even more disturbing to those in the military, intelligence and law enforcement communities is the fact that Mrs. Clinton may have violated a regulation created by her own husband when he was President and she was the First Lady.

The pledges from Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills are contained in court documents submitted by the State Department this week as a part of a public records lawsuit brought by the conservative group Judicial Watch.

It has yet to be determined whether any of the 305 emails flagged so far actually contain classified information.

Mrs Clinton agreed earlier this month to hand over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation the private email server she used while serving as America’s top diplomat. It’s generally not possible to forward or cut-and-paste an email marked classified to a private account because classified email systems are closed to outsiders.

“It’s not about emails or servers”, Clinton said. “She viewed classified materials in hard copy in her office or via other secure means while traveling, not on email”, campaign Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri said in an email to supporters last week. The State Department has said Clinton did not write the e-mails in question, and it is reviewing the IG’s finding.

In the filing, the government stressed that the process involves reviewers conducting “a preliminary screenings step” and determining whether a document should be referred back to an agency for consultation.

“It is likely that additional delay above and beyond that added by independent review” by five intelligence agencies “will result”, Leopold’s lawyers warned.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker said in last week’s Republican presidential debate that snooping Chinese and Russians might know more about Clinton’s emails than members of Congress. “And that has put our national security at risk”. The numbers of emails, Kirby stressed, represent a “small amount”.

“What you’re seeing here is exactly what we want to see, which is the proper care and scrutiny being applied to this”, State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters Monday.
